I am currently working on shout casting some League of Legends games. I’ve just been watching some ranked matches in spectator mode, recording said matches thru fraps and recording my commentary as the match does go on thru audacity. So far so good! I think I’m pretty solid calling team fights (it’s really hard to keep up with what’s going on and even the best can still get stumped and twist their words up). I probably shouldn’t try to cast matches when it’s like 2 am or later cause I sound really freaking tired (not appealing at all).
By next week, hopefully I’ll have a solid vod I can upload to youtube and show off. That’s where I’ll really know if I’m doing okay. I’ll keep everyone updated when I make a youtube and stuff for this. I’m excited.
To people who think I watch League of Legends streams or games too much:
LoL is an esport. I watch streams and games to improve because I’m a visual person and LoL is well visual game. It’s the same concept as someone watching basketball to learn plays and formations on the court. When to take shots, when to pass, when to do certain things. LoL is the same thing. When go chase, when to do baron, when to do dragon, when to push towers. When you see what pros do, you’ll try to take it to the court (or the rift).
I don’t hear people telling other people “Man, you watch basketball too much”. I have no idea why that is. I don’t see how watching several different streams or games is bad. They have already helped me improve on my gameplay. Basically I’m asking if I should be offended if my friends say I watch streams and games too much. (A lot of my friends don’t play LoL or video games for that matter)
